For many of us summer camp is a place we take with us wherever we go.  I attended Luzerne Music Center, a summer camp in the Adirondacks the summers of 1997, 1998 and 1999.  They were the best summers of my life!  The place helped me find my passion for music.  I made friends that are still my closest and dearest.  I learned to stand on my own two feet.  I will treasure the memories forever.  It was camp!  

I think every kid deserves summer camp.  However, not every child can go because their family can't afford it or the camp doesn't have the resources to take in a child with disabilities.  Luckily there are some great organizations out there making camp a possibilty for these kids. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SCOPE is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide children in need the edge to suceed in life through the summer camp experience.  They accomplish this by funding camp scholarships at nonprofit resident camps where children will benefit from a positive, safe and healthy environment led by excellent adult role models, who will help them develop their full potential.

 

 

NATIONAL INCLUSION PROJECT is a nonprofit organization , founded in 2003 by Clay Aiken and Diane Bubel, dedicated to promoting the inclusion of children with disabilities in activities (like summer camp) with their non-disabled peers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CAMPFIRE SONGS is a thematic album of orginal campfire songs, sung by some of Broadway's most talented performers and joined by a soulful chorus of grownups and kids.  Campfire Songs will delight any children going to camp and any grown-ups who have ever been to camp.  Proceeds from the sale of the album will benefit SCOPE, National Inclusion Project and A Broaderway.

On May 7th, 2014 I successfully raised $10,000 to begin recording "Campfire Songs" in the studio.  Check out the indiegogo page where it all happened: click here

Backers will be recieving a signed copy of the album, concert tickets, a s'more makers, a Campfire Songs songbook and a homeade care package!  The album was recorded at Dubway Studios, NYC and features an array of talented singers and musicians.  Proceeds will benefit SCOPE and National Inclusion Project.
